Panasonic is committed to promoting the "100 Thousand All In One Solar Light Project". Since 2012, the scope of the plan has spread to developing countries without electricity in Africa, Southeast Asia, India, and South Asia. In March 2017, Panasonic added 1,584 all in one solar light to South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho. To date, 22 countries have benefited from the plan.

Due to lack of electricity, 1.2 billion people worldwide face difficulties in medical care, health and economic development. Generally, in developing countries, firewood and kerosene lamps are used as lighting, but the smoke caused by the above is not only harmful to the human body, but also has a limited degree of lighting. Panasonic has set a goal and hopes to reach 100,000 all in one solar light for non-electric areas in 2018, the 100th anniversary of Panasonic's founding.

In cooperation with the local NGO Nelson Mandela Foundation, Panasonic held a donation ceremony on March 22 to make good use of the company's core technologies and contribute to global goals such as poverty reduction, healthcare, welfare, education, and energy. Up to now, Panasonic has donated about 83,000 all in one solar light globally through international organizations and NGOs. Among them, the total number of donated countries in Africa has reached 13 countries.
