Tibetan University Students Develop Self-made Street Lamp Solar To Achieve 12-Hour Lighting

            The reporter learned from the Tibet University College Student Innovation Community that the community's "Design and Implementation of Multifunctional street lamp solar cell" project has successfully concluded after nearly 3 months of hard work. It is understood that the project has achieved the "visible and quantifiable" results of multi-functional street lamp solar cell. The multi-functional street lamp solar cell are equipped with an LCD display. Under the sun, this screen can display information such as ultraviolet intensity and temperature in real time.

          According to university student innovation community students, solar energy is both primary energy and renewable energy. It is rich in resources and can be used for free without transportation, without any pollution to the environment. Solar lights are converted into electricity by solar panels.

        This time, the "Design and Realization of Multifunctional street lamp solar cell" project developed by the students of this school is the sixth batch of environmental protection public welfare activities funded by the China Environmental Protection Foundation. The project includes the production of multifunctional solar light street light and environmental protection publicity activities. Tibet University student Dai Sen introduced that the solar light street light designed by the students include main lights and auxiliary lights. When the two lights are on at the same time, the solar light street light can separately illuminate the motorway and the sidewalk. Different from the solar light street light sold in the market, the multifunctional solar light street light is provided with an LCD screen, and the ultraviolet, temperature, light intensity and public service advertisements of the road conditions can be displayed in real time through ultraviolet and temperature sensors.

        According to Liu Can, the person in charge of the project, the solar street light with built in battery can achieve 12 hours of lighting, and the cost is only 3,000 yuan. After the project is completed, the team members will also contact relevant companies to achieve the actual production and application of multifunctional solar street light with built in battery.

       It is understood that students from Tibet University completed the design and production of this multifunctional solar street light with built in battery. Students buy components such as UV sensors, temperature sensors, illuminance sensors, and street light model components from the Internet. After the street lamp model making, circuit welding, wiring, and overall circuit test, etc., the hardware platform is built, and the multifunctional solar street light with built in battery is completed after software debugging.

        In addition, the project team also organized four environmental protection publicity activities. By means of environmental protection videos, environmental knowledge surveys, environmental knowledge contests, signatures of environmental protection proposals, demonstrations of environmental protection scientific and technological achievements, and explanations of environmental protection knowledge boards, students of Tibet University can learn more about environmental protection knowledge and raise environmental awareness.
