Wind Solar Hybrid Street Light Save 50000KWH Electricity Per Year

     On the banks of the Qunying River in Yantou District, Jiaojiang District, Taizhou, Zhejiang, a new type of complementary wind solar hybrid street light are installed.

    It is understood that this batch of new wind solar hybrid street light has an additional solar panel and a wind turbine compared to ordinary street lights. It uses wind energy and solar energy to generate electricity together. The electric energy is stored in the wind-solar complementary battery, which automatically senses changes in external light, intelligently controls the switch, and can also set the lighting time manually. It can rely on solar power to generate electricity on a sunny day and wind power when the wind is strong. In a completely windless and sunless environment, it can still achieve 3 to 5 days of lighting through a wind solar hybrid street light complementary battery. At present, a total of 21 wind solar hybrid street lights have been installed on the banks of the Qunying River, with a life span of 3 to 5 years.

      According to a preliminary estimate, the 21 complementary wind solar hybrid street light are expected to save 50,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity each year, equivalent to 1.15 tons of standard coal, 2.87 tons of CO2 emissions, and 0.9 tons of SO2 emissions.
